Similar to contact lenses, eye cups are placed directly on the eye. To prevent injury, the eye cups have rounded edges with a highly polished interior and a matte finish on the exterior to protect medical personnel from glare.
The stainless steel variant is 100 percent matte, making it a suitable protection for all laser wavelengths.
